Measurement of height is the way we find out how tall something is. For example, we can measure the height of a person, a building, a tree, or even a toy!
To measure height, we use a measuring tape or a ruler. We start from the bottom of the object and stretch the tape or ruler straight up to the top of the object. We then read the number on the tape or ruler where it reaches the top of the object. That number is the height of the object.
Measuring height is an important part of our everyday life. For example, we need to know the height of a person to make sure they fit into a ride at an amusement park, or we need to know the height of a building to make sure it meets safety regulations.
