Basic Addition

Published on

Addition is a way to find out the total when you combine two or more numbers.

Think of it like putting together two piles of blocks. If you have 4 blocks in one pile and 5 blocks in another pile, you can use addition to find out how many blocks you have in total.

Here's an example:

4 + 5 = 9

The answer, 9, is the total number of blocks you have when you add 4 and 5.

The symbol + is used to show addition. You can add as many numbers as you want, just keep adding one number to the next! With a little practice, you'll be adding like a pro!
